Celestun Fishing Boats

About the film

In the remote fishing village of Celestún, Mexico, a community at the edge of ecological collapse fights to restore the ocean that has sustained generations. As declining fish populations and illegal harvesting threaten both marine life and local livelihoods, the town unites to build a groundbreaking marine refuge with hopes of securing a sustainable future.
